What? It's already mid-semester?

I can't believe that mid-semester is here already. Trying to sort through the chaos of all my exams and papers, I'm just trying to keep my mind on spring break. Although my spring break may not include exotic plans, I am in need of a relaxing week away from classes.

Looking at the long list of to-dos I have is somewhat overwhelming. However, I am glad to say that I have graduation details taken care of. I bought my cap and gown and paid my student fees. Checking those off my list early will definitely take some stress off closer to graduation. I'd rather not wait until the last minute to take care of placing an order.

So since I've been really trying to keep updated on the news-politics, world issues, economy, etc. My vested interest started last summer preluding the Presidential Elections. Obviously with the economic crisis being heavily weighted on all news channels, I feel like that's all I hear about these days. People losing their jobs and more layoffs as time progresses. At some points this is really discouraging, considering that I am currently looking for jobs and attempting to find job security within an employment opportunity. Looking at multiple websites like dcjobs.com, careerbuilder.com to name a couple and my new favorite idealist.org. I am definitely keeping my options open right now. Location, job description, salary...it seems to be an environment where I can't be too picky. Although, I am only considering jobs that will give me job satisifcation. Whether it be the work itself or the job environment. I need to feel as though I'm giving my time and energy into something meaningful. I will keep looking and hopefully when the right opportunity comes along I'll know what it is.

As for now, I'm just working through this semester, class by class, week by week. Looking forward to this weekend especially. A best friend going to school in Boston will be visiting at the onset of her spring break. It will be a good opportunity to show her around Morgantown on a BIG gameday weekend! Get out and see the game if you can. I have a strong rivalry against Lousiville that dates back about five years, and I'm sure if you follow WVU basketball, you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I'll leave you with my usual Thursday mantra...'Is it Friday yet?'
