Spring is near...

My week has finally died down after taking tests, quizzes, working on papers and other random duties. Only one more class and a few hours of work stand between me and my spring break!! After such a great weekend, not only the great spring weather tease, but spending some quality time with my friend visiting from Boston, I'm really ready for much needed break. Although my break won't consist of a trip to Greece or the Bahamas like my friends, I will be headed back home to Martinsburg for a relaxing week away from school.

I guess you can call it relaxing, as I already have a list of to-do's for the week. My major to-do is that of applying for jobs. The past few weeks I've been scouring job sites trying to find positions that interest me. As I have come across certain ones that I may be interested in, I tag them and over break I plan on sitting down and writing the cover letters, sending my resume, and covering all the bases. Making sure I have references and that my resume is updated is a task that's almost complete.

Just trying to push forward the last couple months of college. It's becoming more of a realization that I'm almost done with my undergraduate career. As my friends are attending career fairs, and going to grad school interviews, it's more and more evident that graduation and the 'beginning of the rest of our lives' is just weeks away. A few of my close friends are receiving acceptances from graduate programs, ensuring their futures for the next few years, and then on the other hand I have friends who are like myself and still searching for what that next step will be. Will it be a stepping-stone job? Will it be living at home for a couple of months? (Most college grads' worst nightmare) Will it be uprooting everything we've ever known to something completely new? I am somewhat banking on the latter. I am excited about starting a new adventure and somewhere new-wherever that may be. I know given the circumstances I can't be too picky, so instead I am being completely open to any opportunity that may present itself.

I guess I'm just waiting to see what comes...
